But hey good thing i didn't go with it as a good investment seems to be coming up...
The 1.3L engines such as the Vios or the City in m/t guise are really prone to "namamatayan" if you're used to larger displacement gas and diesel engines which require little gas pedal input when you release the clutch.
Ang pinagpipilian ay 2 models lamang, ie, T Vios and H city. So since ang dalawa halos tabla sa power, or lack of it, comfort level, so icon consider ang ibang factors, that's why more prestige or mas class tingnan ang binabanggit.
ang hirap yatang mamili between the two.![]()
- parehong subcompact
- parehong small engines with variable valve timing
- parehong price range
- parehong nagkalat sa daan
- parehong common consumer brand (hindi exotic kumbaga)
Ang nakikita ko lang na pagkakaiba nila eh sa Asian market lang yata yung City samantalang yung Vios/Yaris ay global ang market which should not really matter kasi nga nasa Pilipinas yung bumibili and pareho silang readily available both in the brand new and second hand marketplace.
"Prestige"
Funny because in other countries, Honda is a typical Japanese brand, dito napakaspecial ng Honda.![]()

"classy" is subjective, though IMO good indicator if public utility vehicle ang sasakyan or not. obvious example, whoever thought na "classy" ang AUVs like adventure, revo and crosswind?
also, do compare also base variants, spare parts price and availability. sama nyo na rin casa labor fees. certainly, honda isn't known to be pocket-friendly.
If you're spending such money for a TOTL sub-sompact, you might as well add a bit more and get a mid-level variant for a compact. There's another thread comparing the City 1.5E against compacts that fall within its price range.
