Engine power & performance
After sales service & parts
Capacity & durability +safety

Same shoes with you a month ago.
Here is an excerpt from the spreadsheet we prepared for prospective pick-up we looked at.
I didn't include the other specs.
model type disp hp torque price
hilux -4x4 m/t - 3 - 163 - 343 1400-3200 1.42
colorado -4x4 m/t - 2.8 - 180 - 470 2000 1.468
bt50 -4x2 m/t - 2.2 - 150 - 375 1500-2500 1.3
By majority, we picked the Hilux, we relied on proven and tested reliability in Phil condition, parts availability and no nonsense ease of ownership.
If there is only an assurance that the Ford Ranger 3.2L 4x4 wildtrack will be available in early 2013 we would have chosen it.
The colorado (my personal choice) specs in paper seems impressive, but thats in paper (according to my brother), and they didn't like the head unit.
My advise, visit the showroom and rate them in flesh.

Interesting ang specs ng colorado!
http://chevy.com.ph/features
...4x4 A/T na six speed tiptronic...the duramax engine specs have a theoretically better than a 3.0L hilux engine performance - WOW na wow
Btw I am a Hilux Vigo 4x4 A/T owner. The colorado surely intrigues me.

September 29th, 2012 06:50 PM #10just like the bt-50 and the ford ranger, the colorado has a 5-star safety rating also in aus... am not so sure, pero accdg. to chismis, mas mataas pa unti kesa sa ranger... maingay lang daw makina...
planning to keep it for 15yrs just done 10,000 km already replaced the transfer case fluid w/...
