Questions lang po, how much of your salary ba dapat ang napupunta sa installment? Is there any rule of thumb or maybe based on your exp? Takot lang ako baka maipit ako.. is 35-40% of your monthly salary too much?
langya bro bumili ka muna ng accent. wag ka muna mag-SUV kung first time car buyer ka lang. even if you're earning big now with your salary, delikado yan. more than 1M car, kahit 50K per month ihulog mo dyan nakow delikado finances sabi ko sayo

ako kasi cash lang pag bumili ng car eh. never ako nag-installment, those installments schemes can really demote you from middle class to poverty.

Why don't you throw the Suzuki Kizashi into the mix? P1,288,000.00. You already get a semi mid-size sedan with a fairly powerful 2.4L engine, and Nurburgring upbringing.

But if you don't want to be too unique, ok nga siguro GTA. Or maybe the 2.0L Mazda3. :D

Lakihan mo yun downpayment mo to fit your budget. Ipon mode for the car you want.
A car is a statement on its own, pero depreciating asset sya. So, pag di kaya, wag ipilit. Maiipit ka lng.

Maganda din nga yan SX4. Meron sa office namin nyan, sarap i-maneho. Comparable to a Mazda 3 (gen1) but with lighter body and slightly more powerful engine. Set back mo lang is the interior cargo space, but you can always add a roof carrier.

I agree... the SX4 is a ncie car to drive. Hard to say anything wrong with the car itself except the car's external styling doesn't stand out well in stock form. Given a "euro" make-over, it can be a real head turner.

    Jazz.

    You can haul 50" Plasmas.
    You can haul 4-5 people.
It sips fuel versus your other 1M+ choices here.
    Maneuvers pretty sharply.
    Has insane resale value.
All 3 versions looks the same.
Honda overprices it a bit but that's what industry leaders do.

    Now you know.

Kung ok lang manual sayo, pwede na nga yung 1.3S Jazz. Maganda na rin siya.

I have to agree with the Accent! Masnagagandahan pa nga ako sa Accent kaysa sa Elantra eh!

Maporma na siya. Porma talaga. Mura pa at naayos na nila ang issues nung car. 700k for a 1.4L A/T. 600k lang pag Manual.

Pagisipan mo mabuti. Totohanan, unless you are really a car fanatic/enthusiast, for most people, a car is just a utility or appliance that gets you from point A to B.

Gamitin mo na lnag yung 400k saved for the future or chicks.

Are you going to pay for the car in cash? If yes, by all means, get the car that you WANT. Else, get the car that will suit your needs.

If I had 1.3M to burn for a can, I'd get an XV, ASX, or Tucson. But if I'm gonna have to finance the car, I'd probably get an Elantra or a Jazz.

Bro.. pag CASH kahit alin sa dalawa
pero mas lamang ang Subaru kasi new released lang yan.

Rio Hatchback.. this is also a new released....

Go buy the impreza. I owned an 08 model and it served me well, never gave me headaches. You get good NVH, good handling, engine is super quiet.

One thing to note though, I remember that future impreza models lost the traction control, check mo nalang sa specs. Mine had it, the newer models of the same gen lost it.

    As far as priorities go:

    1. Looks - panalo
    2. Fuel economy - hindi matipid sa gas
    3. Performance - a good drivers car, fun to drive, but its not as fast as you would think.
