It depends on the size of the turbo and intercooler, the boost, priority valve (a.k.a. blow-off valve), among other minor details...

Kung pang matagalan, isuzu kasi jurassic eh. Pang matagalan talaga. Urvan aircon and comfort hands down pero power, speed fuel efficiency, resale valu HIACE wins. Yung estate 3.0 malakas sa crudo may issue pa engine nun. Tinotopak makina nun at may overheating problem. Pag tumanda pa yung enine lalo lumalakas kaen. Sa mga taga davao. Nakakarelate sila sa sinasabi ko. Kahit sa japan, no.1 van nila hiace. HIACE for me.

Toyota? Walang credibility sa pag gawa ng truck? Come on, HINO ang truck line nila.

Halohalong Hiaces andun (from the new ones to the older ones, local or imported from Japan)

It's Okay to disagree. opinion ko to base sa 10 years na experience namin sa trucking at research. Isuzu used to be the undisputed king in japan pero hindi na sila after nakadevelop yung mga kalaban nila.

as for performance, in straight line the 2.7L of the Urvan wins against the previous gen 2.4L Hiace. fuel consumption is about the same. the hiace has better pulling power on steep inclines though and has better gearing for climbing. maybe its just because of the gearing cos the urvan leads the way when it comes to accelerating to highways and switchbacks. again, dunno bout the new 2.5L d4d commuter.
Been driving our Urvan since 2008 and when we got the '11 Hiace, all I can is "dapat dati pa tayo kumuha nito"

Why? it's because of the sheer power and torque of hiace. Malayong malayo ang urvan. When you say sa rektahan, malamang talo ang lumang hiace but D4D engine is different. Mas nadadalian sya lalo ka kapag puno.

Nissan Urvan is more popular, hence many shuttle are Urvans only because it's 150k cheaper than Hiace. Ang with that the ROI is slighter faster.

Better Passenger Van? Nissan Urvan Or Toyota Hi-ace Commuter or others?
