one look at the price, and you might wonder why one is comparing one with the other..

    my apologies, but...
who says any car is limited to city driving? is this etched in stone?
our cars' "limitations" are often a reflection of our own limited imagination.
my "W" has already survived numerous trips in the slex..

and that little engine (or its variant)... was engine of the year some years ago.. it's not a piece of intestinal contents.

my suggestion... don't label this car or that car as such, without trying it out first. we may be in for a pleasant surprise.
well at least, read up on them test drives.. and find out what the actual owners have to say.

    heh heh.
hehe sorry i dont mean you cant use the wigo on highway literally. my point is if you want to take advantage of wigo upfront cost over mirage is that you have to limit your mileage. it will never be economical against mirage in the long run. i didnt say wigo is bad or something. its actually good. 11kml ave is pretty decent. but im just saying theres a much better car. its odd in this situation that the larger displacement car is the more economical one. i mean it is just seriously designed for it. thats why mirage is my bet on this comparo

if dollars and cents are important to the buyer..
(s)he should make computations on the km/li costs for city driving, km/li costs for highway driving, kms done on city and kms done on highway..
and the difference in acquisition costs of the vehicles.
and their maintenance schedules and costs.

then come up with numbers and see where the break-evens are.

then decide if he can use these figures to his advantage.

if one does not utilize all these angles in his comparison, the conclusion arrived at might be.... flawed..

then there are the subjectives like comfort, beauty, personality, etc. and these attributes do not have equations, and have been known to sweep all logic off the table...

choosing a car really takes a lot of discipline and brainpower!
i guess that is why many buyers default to "perceptions, real or imagined" (i.e., "T" yan.. or "H" yan, and therefore must be the best"... 'nuff said).

sa totoo lang, many times, choosing a car is like judging a beauty contest.. there's points for this and points for that.. but in the end, they're just trying to justify their kagustuhan for their candidate!

and while it is true that mirage appears to be the superior car, more wigoes are being being driven out of the casa..

'bat kasi diniscontinue pa yung air-cooled VW...!

    heh heh.

^what he said. As i mentioned in my earlier post, fc is not a deciding factor for most buyers of these kind of vehicles. Imo.

Nope I am not assessing on how one should buy a car. Still, to each his own i know that. But these cars are designed to be an eco-car, this is my basis. They are objectively built to be an eco-car. So it is rightfully for them to be compared in terms of FC and assess which is better. This is my point for the poster of this thread to consider in choosing between these cars since it was mentioned

He may have picked already but still I just like to share.

Versatility depends on the users needs and imagination.

So, I cannot answer that question.

In my case, the Ertiga is versatile for me than the mirage or the wigo.

To my cousin in law, mas versatile ang mirage HB sa kanya kasi limited parking space, tight turn radius, at he likes the 1.3 engine.

    Get my drift?

Mine is Suzuki 2013 Celerio MT

    16+kms/liter Mixed
    21++kms/Liter nung nag Baguio ako.

2years old na ngayon, so far SP, oil, at wheel alignment palang pinapagawa ko. even a single bulb eh wala pa napupundi.

Good handling and power to weight ratio. Good entry level car.

Medyo underrated lang ang kotse na to.

    bwahahahaha!!! :hysterical:
kayo naman, naligaw lang 'yung post ng tao eh, binasag niyo na agad ang trip niya.

sir Duroy, i was thinking na "basag" na 'yang subwoofer mo kaya nginig at garalgal na ang tunog. but then, sabi mo nga:
maganda naman ang tunog (assuming that's in low / normal volume settings). malamang, kailangan lang niyan ng
    konting adjustment sa amplifier settings.

puntahan mo na lang sa http://tsikot.com/forums/car-audio-video-systems-153/
    or http://tsikot.com/forums/hyundai-cars-talk-83/
baka may katulad na kaso at may solusyon na, eh di solve na da problema. gudluck.

Mga pre help naman mag decide:

    Mirage GLS 1.2G CVT - 673,000
    Mirage GLX 1.2G CVT - 573,000
    Chevy Spark 1.0 LS A/T - 598,000

Cheaper is good but I don't mind paying a little extra kung sulit naman yung additional features.
