Subic should be a good starting point. Spend the night at Olongapo so you can start fresh and early the following day. And if you decide to go to Port Irene, you should leave early on the following morning. Im not sure how long is the driving time from subic to cayayan...but manila to cagayan will take about 12 to 14 hours. And about 1 hour+ by air. Its safer to spend the night at Tugegarao city, you'll just have to travel the next morning to Sta.Ana, will take you an hour or so. At port irene, you'll be greeted by sales agents. Its better to bring along a trusted mechanic who knows the place and can speak ilocano.
    Happy hunting!

Not to mention potentially unsafe as the welds might fail if improperly done. OR if the tires weren't inflated properly for storage ...

i would recommend a 99-00 nissan cefiro (maxima gxe or infinti i30 in north america).

big, spacious, rides like silk, smooth, reliable engine. fuel economy isn't as bad as most people think (yes i own one).

i've seen nice examples going for as low as 180K these days. apparently, we pinoys prefer buying cheap rundown vehicles that get 10km/liter (then spend 100k over the course of 3 years to keep it running, barely) than cheap, heirloom quality japanese built midsize cars that will last more than 200,000 kms with little to no maintainance that gets 8km/liter.

Boy, that Mustang looks good! An Explorer 3.5L Ecoboost for less than half its original SRP might be something worth considering.
