Perhaps a more appropriate comparison would be between the new Accent diesel's 1.6L engine and Mitsubishi's 4N13 1.8L powerplant. Problema lang is, the latter isn't even remotely available in the local market.

Is the current Accent in the same category as the Lancer EX in terms of size? I seem to remember the previous Accent as having subcompact dimensions compared to the EX.

Hehe.

On the other side of the argument, it's not all about speed. It's about how your car makes you feel every time you're in it.
So?

I dont think the crdi would have problems like the accent gas variants. But if it were me, I would prefer the EX nonetheless, bigger thus more flexible in terms of passenger and cargo

UN!CHIP can be applied to gas or diesel engines.

They also have the alcohol injection kits which adds more power without increasing fuel consumption to turbo diesel engines.

Accent is smaller than the Lancer EX ...

    Lancer EX = Elantra

Hehe. Thanks!

Thanks in advance!

But base dun sa mga may alam sa sasakyan na sinubukang imaneho tong EX ko, ok na ok daw para sa 1.6, kasi they were expecting na underpowered daw ito at not that responsive pero nung na-try na nila, nagkakamali daw pala sila. Isa pang sabi sakin maganda daw yung gearing nito (no idea what it means hehe).
