sir pano po ba ito and pwede ba diy? kung sa labas san po kaya pwede?

so far ok naman ang ride and im very satisfied with everything except for the weird sound na naririnig ko sa likod. Di naman sya malakas tumunog and di naman kadalas tumudog pero yung sound nya is like tools na gumulong sa trunk. Medyo modified kasi nung nakuha ko... naka lowering springs sya. According to our mechanic e sa spring nga daw... And nung pinacheck ko e wala naman makitang problem sa suspension since mga bago pa. Ayoko naman ibalik yung stock na springs since ok naman porma. I want to have this fixed by a pro.. may suggestions ba kayo na malapit lang sa makati or mandaluyong? Thanks

By the way here is my ride...

that's a nice-lookin car! ano yung mags, 17in ba? about that noise, check mo lang if the jack's snugly mounted dun right side under the plastic cover, may foam yun and a handle-bolt. make sure lang na mahigpit baka yun lang yung tumutunog. Another possibility the rear shocks.

Before you have it looked at, check your tools and your jack. I hear similar sounds all the time (medyo thin yung sound insulation, eh)... but it's also possible that some of the rubber bushing in the spring mount has given way... kinda simple to replace.

sir galing na ko kagabi kay claro sa may cruven cubao. puro taga protege(mazda) yung mga nakita ko for maintenance ..suspension specialist pala sila. gusto ko sana try technology nila na inaapply sa suspension pero di pa daw pwede sakin since matigas pa daw suspension ko. di pa na solve yung weird sound sa likod mali kasi nabili parts so balik nalang ulit ako mamaya after office.

    *boss niky
17" mags sya. hindi po sya sa tools. na try ko na lahat alisin yung nakalagay sa trunk pero meron pa din. I hope masolve na mamaya problem pag balik ko kay cruven.

Well all I can say despite of the minor problem... is that I'm satisfied with my ride. Ganda ng handling kahit nakalowered

Oks... congrats again... (niiiiice mags)... hopefully it's just a bushing (common naman with lowered cars and/or cars with big mags). :D

    thanks niky.

Condolences. Patience lang yan bro... every silver lining has a cloud. As long as the rest is okay afterwards, that's fine. It isn't uncommon to need maintenance for suspension parts if the car is lowered or has upsized wheels, so you were bound to do this anyway.

Kung naka-lowering springs yan, you might want to look at gas shocks.

FORD Guru's, Is it true na nahirap hanapin parts after magsara plant nila d2 sa pinas and mostlikely sa casa ka lang pwede magpagawa? I'm interested kasi to buy 2nd hand lynx and was adviced by my uncle's mechanic to go for a japanese car instead of Ford Lynx.

OT: my budget kasi ranges from 250k-280k at max and i've seen lynx that fit on it. nub lang po sa auto (magsarili).

Hope to hear inputs before i close the deal.

thanks in advance and have a great day!

For parts such as body panels, you might have to ask the plant or source it from wrecking yards in Bulacan or Banaue, the same as with any other vehicle.

But for common suspension parts, bushings, engine mounts, electronic sensors and engine parts, everything is available as brand-new, both from the dealerships and from replacement parts suppliers in Banaue. There are a whole bunch of them that sell brand new replacements on the E.Rodriguez end of the street.

    ------

I have no idea how much the bumper costs brand new. Probably 12-16k pesos, unpainted, but I'm not really sure. It's cheaper to buy surplus, since you'll have to paint it anyway.

If it's 2000, yes, it probably is. But at 54,000 kms, they may have been replaced, already. You can ask the owner if they've done it. If not, cam sensors cost less than 5k at Banaue.

GSI versus Ghia - fully loaded ang Ghia. Leather, sunroof, etcetera. The GSI has power-windows, I think, but cloth seats and no other luxuires.

At seven years of age, medyo malabo nang good condition ang CD-changer, so it's not a bad idea to go ahead and get a GSI, then get leatherette seat covers and an aftermarket radio. Pero if you want a Ghia, okay talaga ang luxuries niya.
