So far, isa pa lang nakikita kong new TBZ sa daan. Dumating na kaya yung stocks that SAs have mentioned too be arriving in mid Nov?

I've seen 5. 2 brown LTZs (one is RTS's), 1 gray LTZ, 1 white LT, 1 black LTZ.

Montero Sport is very popular because Mitsubishi has introduced new base A/T and M/T variants a few months ago that has the same HU as the higher variants but lacks the GPS function (though you can activate it by buying the SD card from Winterpine for 5.5k pesos) and the MID function of the higher variants. It also uses the non VGT version of the 2.5 4D56 engine. It also has body colored side mirror covers with integrated LED turn lamps, which the top of the line GTV variant also has (but the side mirror covers are chromed).

*numbah5.

PMS cost, I think the Trailblazer wins because of its 10,000 km PMS interval, and the 1st PMS is at 10,000 kms. I also inquired about its initial PMS cost, using the 2.8 LTZ 4x4 A/T Colorado as basis. 8.9k pesos including FS oil, labor and the parts that will be replaced.

Ride and handling, the SF wins by a slim margin from the Trailblazer and by a wide margin from the Montero Sport because it has a monococque unibody construction, and is more compact than the 2.

Functionality, the Trailblazer has the biggest cargo area even when the 3rd row seats are folded up

You can add the ladder-type design of the Trailblazer's chasis for durability and safety; 800mm water-wading capability (for sudden rush to flooded areas); the ride is better than Montero and Fortuner (add ko na ito)... SF has a nice ride just for the city driving, but my friend's 2010 (SF) already had a clicking noise under the hood during braking.

*jojo728.. Maybe that is a caliper bolt issue. Minor problem. Anyway, despite the minor hiccups of the 2.5 Gen SF, madami pa siyang followers. Kaya nga may santa fe club.. Plus, (this is not to start a bash war), wala akong nakita or nabasa sa forum, na maiitim agad ang usok ng SF or nag stall siya due to a faulty fuel pump or bigla nag sudden accelerate...

You cannot compare the 2.5 Gen SF and the 3rd Gen SF. Coz this is a totally new platform...

I saw a display at Greenbelt 3.. Whereas, the only option for now with the 2013 Santa Fe, is to get those OEM HU (china made)..

Would be good to know what kind of promos/discounts these three cars are offering for year-end sales closing. I'm shopping for one of these three within this month.

I hear that Mitsubishi has generous cash discounts for their 4x4 Montero AT. Looks have been about the same (except the grill) since 2008 launch.
Hyundai has been showing commercial TV ads of Santa Fe, which means they have a lot of stock and will probably have some promo at year-end to clear stocks. I've seen several on the road already.
Chevrolet on the other hand does not have any kind of promo, and line is quite long for the Trailblazer 4x4 AT. Is it a good buy now? Or later?

Anyone who can confirm or has more info on December promos for these three car choices? Thanks.

Supply lines for the Trailblazer will normalize this month according to TCCCI.

The TrailB has 2 tire and wheel sizes: 18s for the top of the line 2.8L LTZ 4x4 A/T and 16s for the base 2.5L LT 4x2 M/T

    Just a brief chief,

If you wish a relatively NEW ENGINE, get the all-new Chevrolet Trailblazer. In comparison, the Fortuner 3.0 D-4D engine is a 2001 base model powerplant, while the Fortuner 2.5 D-4D engine is a 2004 design, the Alterra 3.0 Ddi-iTEQ engine is also a 2004 base model powerplant, the current Philippine-issue Everest 3.0 TDCi comes with a 2007 base model powerplant from Mazda, while the Monterosport 2.5 Di-D non- VGT and GT-V engine is an old 1986 base model powerplant that was mated with an intercooler, a common-rail, an EGR, and series of different turbochargers over a period of 3 decades. While a lot of them smoke less visually to even nil, the Monetrosport's engine billows out the most smoke from time to time, which is much more so pronounced when one presses suddenly the accelerator pedal.

If you wish to have the SAFEST mid-size SUV of the bunch, get the Chevrolet Trailblazer as this SUV, just like its pickup-variant, the Colorado, has the highest safety rating for passengers in an event of severe collision or impact.

    Cheers!
