looks like the waiting game is not over....
strada may have changes and 2013 strada will be out by November , as far as i am informed by my SA.
now that the hilux 2.5 E is with vnt, i am also considering it as an option.
priced lowest of the 3 at 972k.
may extra ~98k budget ako to use to mod the hilux E to fill in essential parts/accesories found in the glx-v and rangers.
good plan ba ito? kasya kaya yung 98k for a good set of mags/tyres, keyless entry/alarm, etc.
parang ang hirap kasi hintayin yung ranger.
Truck are tune for that purpose. Di po for comfort. Better buy a camry or accord if comfort ang pag-uusapan you wont get wrong.. Pero sobrang OT na if sedan. Better test drive, I'm not a toyota fan, but if i'll choose between hilux and strada. Hilux din ako. Sulit na yung hilux E..

To the TS: you need to consider what's your purpose of buying a pickup, if you are into towing, howling and safety, I think ranger would be a good choice. But if you only use your pickup for city drive, softride, porma, setup ng mags, Strada is for you. Ganon ko sya pinili before I decide getting a ranger. If you go long distance drive, you will fell the brutal power of the ranger. On the specs might be lower in numbers (vs the Strada with their VGT), but when you drive it, you will fell it.
nag VL na nga ako from work this night, because I cannot sleep after finally touching and have tried the driver's seat ng display unit this morning. iba talaga dating ng ranger. tamado ako.
may cruise control na pala ang ranger xlt both A/T and M/t
asked about the bed liner, hindi daw sigurado na may bedliner ang mga units na susunod
'parang' masmalaki sa tingin ko yung 2012 hilux 4x4, pero sa indoor parking space kasi nakadisplay yung ranger so it might just be my poor eyesight and the low light environment.
yes sir yggyboy, naka pa reserve na ako last week lang for a ranger ,kaya january pa daw ako, huuhuhu
pag nadagdadagan ko budget ko for downpayment, baka yung hilux 4x2 G ang kukunin ko by november, pero parang hindi parin ako satisfied sa hilux, mas mahal na nga, kulang pa sa features.
and yes, may ford baguio by next year na, as per my SA.
go for the RANGER ....
wag muna pahirapan sarili mo sir hehe
pero kung nahihirapan kana STRADA syempre
gud luck hunting
ranger talaga best buy pero sa hirap ng unit strada is not bad. used to drive a 2009 gls and now a proud owner of 2012 ranger IMHO mas matagtag ang strada ko before compared sa ranger.
sa power lamang strada considering na 3.2 yon compared sa 2.2 of ranger.
space sa back seat ranger mas maluwag.
Sa TS..congrats on your ranger.
Yes, medyo haba pila ngayon, madaming pickup owner ang nag switch to ranger, just 2 weeks ago at a ford dealer, a navarra owner traded in his pickup for a ranger... I do own an older version and its a beast that I always have fun to drive especially long distance. Looking forward owning for the new model, but I'll wait for the I5-3.2 ver. For howling & towing kasi ang gamit namin.
We currently have a 1999 and a 2012 ranger... let's just say 13 years was worth the wait - better legroom than the previous generation, the 2.2 liter engine never feels inadequate, revs and pulls nicely (those inclines in baguio won't be a problem), and the consumption is better than our old ranger... and it's way, way bigger.
features wise... well, ang dami. Perfect for those na mahilig sa bluetooth connectivity. Comfort-wise, it's not as bad as the old one, but you do know you're in a pickup truck, especially if you're used to the comfort of a sedan or a soft-roader SUV or MPV. I've ridden in a strada and the comfort's not that far off.
flood wading capacity... both the strada and the ranger can swim. but I don't think you'd like to test this.
what we don't like is that centralized doorlock that you have to push on the dash. Also kinda hard to maneuver around due to the size.
btw, our unit is the 6/AT. I'm sure the MT version can accelerate faster and get better fuel economy figures.
question lang...
illegal ba magsakay ng passengers sa bed ng pick up?
deal breaker ito kung sakali...
or if i install a canopy, will it then be legal?
