IMO 2.5 vs 3.0 kasi at parehong level ng CRDi at Turbo technology kaya kahit ako sa Fort ako in terms of engine performance.

Bilib ako dun sa performance nung 3.0 D-4D engine ng Toyota. Mas tahimik pa sya sa 4M41 tsaka mas mataas ata ang torque.

Audi Q7 / Jeep Grand Cherokee / Hummer H3 ang pinagpipilian niyang next na bilhin pero dinidiscourage ko siya, ang sabi ko sa price na yan makakabili na ng 1 montero at 1 fortuner at diesel pa. Hehe.

IMHO iba parin naka Audi Q7. May diesel na Q7 naman.

Hindi yun matutumbasan ng isang Fortuner at isang Montero

Buti napigilan mo hehe, gas guzzlers masyado especially the h3....land cruiser 200 or the new patrol royale nalang hehe...or maybe the x5....

I had a hilux for a year and just sold it, its 3.0 and it feels very torquey, I bet its the same with the fortuner...havent driven a montero yet so I dont know how it feels like

Yun nga lang, parang inherently mausok ang 4D56 ng Montero Sport kahit ano ginawa nila dun. Sinalpakan na ng commonrail direct injection tapos VGT pa pero yung problema niyang mausok andun parin from L300 (indirect injection non turbo) era hanggang ngayon. So may reservations ako dito. At bat parang mas kaunti yung torque niya as compared to other 2.5L engines equipped with VGT?

Actually, may nakita akong 3 Montero Sports na umuusok (black pa!) recently. Compared sa isang Fortuner previously

Yes, I have seen my fair share of smoke belching Fortuners as well. But these were all 1st gen 2.5D4D's and they all seem to be rather neglected. Curiously though I have yet to see a smoke belching Hilux, Innova or Hiace 2.5D4D or Fortuner and Hilux 3.0D4D.

personally, i am an MS owner and pretty happy with it.

car ownership is pretty subjective and at the end of the day, it will all depend on one's individual criteria

so to the TS, again, the advise is test drive all vehicles then choose the one you are comfortable with - not the one others are comfortable with since you are the user, not them or the posters here

At parang medyo maingay ang Montero noh? As compared sa Fortuner kahit yung 2.5D4D lang, which are more refined even in high revs. And then there's that whistling sound from the turbo which is very evident even in the 2.5D4D version.
