A Crosswind can hit 155kph tops, what's wrong kung maabot ng D4D Fortuner ang 160kph ?

Going downhill. A more realistic top speed for the Crosswind is between 135 to 145 km/h.

A Fort 2.5 should be able to hit 160 km/h, given it has over 100 hp, and drag is more important than weight at high speeds, but not that much more.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Yep. Sa top end, all the fort variants are pretty equal since it is drag limited and not limited by power or gearing.

However, the time it takes you to reach that speed is what makes the 3.0 variant different from the 2.5

It can do 180, but not much more. The automatic transmission has a built-in speed limiter.

Not that you want to drive a tall heavy vehicle with a stiff and twitchy rear suspension that fast.

i mean why would you want to drive at 160kph, a bit dangerous. and is it out of regulations na yata.

The 3.0-litre Forty's 1KD-FTV is not designed to be an ultimate revver but rather as a well-packaged engine that caters very broadly all throughout its useable powerband even from a low rev of 1400 rpm. It's already giving out a meaty 343 Nm of torque even when it's only doing a total of 700 times per minute pressure combustion at 1400 rpm engine-radial speed (rpm) since it's a 4-stroke diesel engine ---- i.e. a cycle of 1 pressure combustion for every two-revolution of the crank. Pressure combustion is in sequence for each of the 4-cylinders that are connected in 90-degree throws along the crank.

The GTV Monty is NEVER EVER faster at all than the 3.0-litre Forty even when the latter is just a 4-speed tranny. Kindly see below sir.

Mas maganda pa rin sir ang gear ratios/ spacings ng 3.0-litre Forty kaysa Monty GTV, and it is faster. This is an excerpt on what i have posted at Toyota Forum in one of the past threads thereat. Hey, you were there nga pala sir! Haha! ;)

Now if you gentlemen are still in doubt, kindly go to the Engine and Fuel System Talk and click onto the last page of the sticky thread dedicated to Racechip Pro. There's a fine gentleman out there with a modded GTV Montysport and he stated in there that he's making 100 kph at 2000 rpm.
    http://tsikot.com/forums/engine-fuel...05/index9.html

At 2000 rpm the 4x2 Fe is speeding 112 kph, while the 4x4 is speeding at 112.3 kph. In fact it is running 190 kph even when it's only revving 3392 rpm.

EEW!!!

We owned a 2005 model Sportivo and 2012 Montero sport GT-V. If you will compare the montero and fortuner closely, there is a big difference in Montero GLS-V and GTV. Its like you will think of it many times of which model you'll buy. Unlike Fortuner, konti lang ang difference, If im not mistaken, the 4x4 variant vs 4x2 in G model, HID light auto- levelling , aand power seat for the driver. Yun lang. Comapred to the montero, it has GPS navigation, sporty yung loob niya sobra.

I guess you should go for montero. You'll never regret it. :D
