Step2. is to buy a good front speakers (2way seps preferrably 3way) not lower than 9k- 35k should at least 75-125w power handling depende sa level hanap mo. Recomended for a decent seps around 12k-17k(2way).

I have a rav4-SV, and it comes with a Kenwood stereo.
Question:
should i do step 1, which is to change the stereo, or can i go directly to step 2?
ayoko ng tunog ng set-up ko ngayon, and i can't do step 1&2 at the same time. i'm not sure if it sounds bad because of the stereo or the speakers. or both.
ideas, anyone?

ssaloon,
can't remember yung model ng kenwood hu, but its the one which comes with the 2003 rav4 model. siguro nga speakers muna, kasi i want the hu - pioneer models na nasa 15k range eh.
because staging of audio usually comes from the front, hence you should invest more on a good set of separates. also, usually, naka fade sa front ang audio para parang nanonood ka ng concert (from the front to the back ang sound).
ang magandang range ng DLS speakers start at around 6-7k. pero meron din mas mura, pero di ganon kaganda yung tunog (for me at least).
ssaloon: sir, tanong din, i have a jvc 40 x 4 HU wid cd changer... ok naman yung sounds nya pero i want it more refined like a component and a little more bassy. what would you recommend for me to do??? medyo tyt budget kung pwedeng DIY gagawin ko. thanks in advance =)

kahit hindi na... what type of setup do you want to achieve? SQ (clarity) or SPL (boom-boom)? also, like previously mentioned in this thread, it would greatly help if you state your budget. i think marami na namention na inputs sa pages ng thread na ito :D
