I normally dont use rear fill but since the Crosswind is a big car then you may want to use a pair of coax for the rear. Ask your instaaller if he can fit a 8 inch shallow mount sub in a small sealed box under the front seat. I've seen pics of this done in a innova. IIRC, they used Polk DB subs. It wont give you monster bass but it should sound good. Mind you it wont be easy to do.

    Or just get a small sealed box and put the sub at the cargo area. Sealed boxes are usually smaller than ported boxes. They are also more accurate and musical. However, they dont put out as much bass.

    If you are willing to spend for custom work, I've seen a guy install a 8 inch sub on the side of a BMW diesel SUV. It really looked stock. he placed the amps on the other side wall. But that kind of setup will cost big bucks. Be prepared to shell out mucho money for custom fiber glass works.
    Well-noted your points bro. Im taking a note on those stuffs you made mentioned and leme talk to the sounds tech guy.
    Cheers!

    mga sirs, I'm wondering if what is the best source for a head unit (Pioneer DEH 4250) in terms of music quality output. my choices are:

    1. Flash disk (USB)
    2. iPod (USB + you can control it in the HU itself)
    3. iPod (AUX)
    4. Android phone (AUX)

    @GTS925

    You can purchase those iPod car kits but they costs several thousands din much like buying an entry Pioneer head unit. I think the most cost efficient way is to still burn your songs on a CD if you're without a iPod support/Aux in HU.

    @purplegrape
    An iPod isn't an assurance of good quality. Sound quality can only sound as good as its source. Most burned mp3 files range from 128-320kbps. 128kbps is crap.. if you listen to downloaded OPM music coming from Limewire or the net, ito na yun. 320kbps, on the otherhand, is perfectly acceptable na. Pure uncompressed WAV files are still the best (1411kbps) and where can you find these? Rip a genuine CD or download those FLAC/loseless audio albums. Take note that a single song may be somewhere 35mb upwards versus a 5mb mp3 file size.

    iPod and Smartphones via USB or AUX will sound different when played inside the car. Reason is, they have their own equalizers and it messes up your already tuned set up. Better go with the Flash Disk. The HU plays the songs directly and the sound of your MP3s will depend on the HU settings itself (or your ears). Find FLAC/Loseless songs, as per Sir jhnkvn's advise. But I think your HU will only accept MP3 and WMA file formats. If you can find FLAC/Loseless songs, convert them to WMA instead of MP3. It will sound better according to my ears.

    Sir jhnkvn,

    I'm going to purchase a JBL GT5-650c seps as an upgrade from my old Pioneer coaxial fronts. Just wanna know if they are better than a/d/s, Lightning Lab or Ryan Audio seps (in their own price range and category). Price range is P3,000-below.
