BMW Concept X1 (what you see here is basically a thinly disguised production BMW X1)

The BMW X1 will hit the showrooms next year.
Expect the next generation X3 to grow a bit bigger to make room for the new X1.

I honestly still find the X5 better looking.

When the X1 is launched later this fall, base models will include the fuel-efficient xDrive18i and xDrive18d. Further up the pecking order is the 177hp (130kW) xDrive20d which sprints from 0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds while consuming 5.8 liters of diesel per 100km. A slightly more powerful xDrive23d will also be offered, it features 204hp (150kW) which enables it to run from 0-60 mph in 7.3 seconds before topping out at 223 km/h (139 mph). The final model is the petrol powered xDrive28i which boasts a top speed of 230 km/h (143 mph).

Although all the launch models will feature xDrive (all-wheel drive), it is widely expected the X1 will be offered with sDrive (rear-wheel drive) shortly after production begins.

Look for the X1 to be officially unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

it has the lines of the current 1-series hatchback.

But does it have a market segment? There is already the X3, X5, X6 from BMW.

diba ang pricing range dito sa atin ng BMW is based on its model? (most of it)

    example:
3 series is around 3M..edi ang X1 is 1m lang hehehehe ayus..(wishful thinking)

    I hope.
The X1 should be priced lower than the equivalent X3 model, meaning it will probably be priced closer to the E90 3-series its based on.

How I wish. Kung more than 1m but less than 2m, bang for the buck na iyan Pero I doubt it, the BMW 1 series is on the way to 2 million na nga eh, or is it in the 2m range already?

BMW hasn't released the official prices for the X1, so stay tuned.

I'm guessing that the X1 will be priced in the upper P2M+ to P3M+ range like the E90 3-series its based on.

Pointless. Where does this fit into the range? The X5 competes with the Mercedes MLs and Range Rover Sports of this world, the X3 with the Lexus RX, Audi Q5, Volvo XC60, Land Rover Freelander II and Mercedes GLK? So is this meant to compete with VW Tiguans, Toyota Rav4s etc?

But i have to admit, looks better than the X3. But thats not saying much.
