Re: AVANZA DIY: Cleaning rusted exhaust pipe
OT Lang...hehehe i just noticed sa isang photo dito ni vanzie may pusa sa ilalim? loko talaga yung hmmmmpppp 24 hours kaya ang security guard ko
Questions?
1. Should I remove the black thing around the pipe or leave it there?
2. Anong material ba yung ginamit for our exhaust pipe? i need this para macounter check ko dun sa bibilhin ko na protector or something....usually nilalagay naman nila if the product is safe on chrome, stainless steel, etc.
3. safe ba gamitin yung mga rust converters?
4. Is it necessary to apply rust converter before painting the area?
5. Meron bang pwede kong pagdalhan kay vanzie para sila na gagawa nung job? Is there a term used for such service? I would appreciate if you can recommend the store, contact person (yung trustworthy please!) and address.

Re: AVANZA DIY: Cleaning rusted exhaust pipe
Iyong rust converter converts rust into something na di na kakalawangin ulit. After that you can use hi-temp paint para ma protect ang previously rusted parts from further rust.
Kaso you have used penetrating oil, hindi puwedeng ma pintahan kaagad. Have to clean it with soap and water to remove the oil before painting.
I think mayroon bosny hi-temp paint na puwedeng magamit.
BTW, ang tiyaga nyo. Hanga ako.

Re: AVANZA DIY: Cleaning rusted exhaust pipe
Hi Pres thanks! matagal ko ng gustong gawin ito kaya lang nag research muna ng konti para sure...eksakto at kailangan kong marelease yung stress this weekend hehehehe....
somebody told me that some rust converter products may not be go well with some material (nakakabutas daw)??? Well, nakagamit na ako nung TURCO in one of my Destroy-It-Yourself projects at home naging itim nga yung inapplyan good thing and hindi naman nabutas yung microwave hehehe...hanapin ko din yung tira kong high temp paint...malakas amoy nung Turco at nakakasunog ng skin katakot gamitin!
meron akong nakita na Mr. McKenic product which accdg to them turns to a diff color when its time to retouch....http://www.mr-mckenic.com/Products_ME1206.htm... nakita ko na ito sa mga shops about 300-500 pesos but research muna para sure. Meron din akong nakita na ibang product same mfr. cleaner na tapos seals also....hhhhmmm babalikan ko ulit and research on it.
BTW, have u read the result of my engine MIL error?

Thanks am so glad na-appreciate nyo yung very simple kong DIY katuwa nga kasi daming audience sa likod ko giving me tips hehehe
Sir tip ....while I was doing the project our friendly neighbors told me na dapat daw gamitin ko yung wire brush na bilog like yung pang linis sa baby bottles para maabot ko yung loob ng pipe (meron palang ganon?). Hahanap ako nyan para next time malinis ko yung mas malayong part
