Question lang mga gurus, may car wash na malapit sa min. Routine nila na maglagay ng quick detailer habang tinutuyo yung kotse. Ok ba yung ganung procedure nila? Another question is, pede ba ako mag apply ng wax kahit may existing na QD sa sasakyan. TIA

Yes. Okay lang yun procedure na yun. Some people do it to cut down on time. The QD itself is diluted with the water and buffed once the drying/buffing procedure starts.

Yes, however.. which QD are we talking about? If it's the likes of OCW, those are pretty much standalone waxes in their own right so "topping" it might seem of a waste (best to let it be your LSP and simply wear it down). QDs are usually designed to be the last application layer to complement the wax/sealant beneath it. However wala naman problema in "layering" it as long as the wax you're using is pure wax -- no cleaners.

Yes. Meguiars has an extensive distribution network sa Philippines and is expensive actually. If you want relatively affordable Megs, start importing some from the United States.

    b) Collinite 476s (~P700 at autobisyo): Paste wax. Hard to remove if multiple panels are allowed to set before buffing. One of the most durable waxes locally available. Able to resist a couple of weeks of rain or several washes before fading away.
Question lang po regarding the quoted text from first page. Hard to remove, that means po ba na hirap sya ibuff if nag-apply ka ng wax sa buong kotse instead na per panel?

2nd question po, what's the best glaze for a dark red car? (carnelian red civic fb) i'm leaning towards to Mothers Step 2 pero baka may marecommend kayong mas maganda

    thanks tsikot!

Malinis tignan is a matter of keeping the paint imperfection-free. This means -- a clean car, if possible.. one that's waxed and not oxidized enough to be seen through the paint.

Makinis is more of keeping your paint leveled -- less scratches, the better.

For the Collinite 845 and the NXT. Just use and pick one. Don't bother with layering -- the benefits is.. uhh... slim really.

Yes. If you apply it first to the entire car -- leaving the panel to cure a long time, buffing the 476 will be a pain in the ass. You'll be using a lot of elbow grease so it's best to get your rotary in case you plan on going this route. Best application of the 476 will still be on a panel-basis when applying by hand. Remember to apply lightly!

For the second question, I will have to pass. I'm not a general fan of glazes particularly. To let your red paint "pop", it's best to simply prep the paint surface throughly. This means paint correction when you need it, clean the surface of the car to remove any leftover waxes or impurities, and layering down the LSP whether it be a sealant or wax.

Paano alisin bird droppings? Is it OK to spot clean with carwash solution then no more rinse (condo kasi parking ko). I've heard about optimum no rinse (ONR) but I can't seem to find it in the mall auto stores and hardware stores.

    Thanks!

Have you checked online vendors for ONR? You can arrange for shipping or meet-up depending on the seller's conditions.

Quick question. Puwede ko bang gamitin yung Aquazorb MF towel na pang tao (Aquazorb) to dry my car after using ONR? Wala kasi akong makitang large enough na drying towel and this seems to be even cheaper per sq. ft. that those for car use. I have one lying around which I don't like to use due to its weird "feel".

I have about 80 microfiber towels and washmitts. I use breeze detergent for the wash and vinegar for the final rinse. Yes, Perla is good for microfiber pero mahal sha and sometimes do not remove stains in the towel.

The key in maintaining microfiber towels soft is in the way you dry them. If you hang them and let them air dry natirally, mag bubuhol buhol/dikit dikit yung fibers. Let them dry in a dryer at low temperature setting. They will come out soft and the fibers will not be tangled.
