License Plate Paint Fading

Hey guys, I'd just like to ask kung madali ba mabura yung paint nung mga license plate na may Rizal monument na? Kasi may nabasa ako before yung mga ganun daw na plate medyo mas low quality kaysa dun sa plain white and green of yesteryear.

Pero nabasa ko yun, X** pa yung series of plates. I just got our car's plates kasi, and iniisip ko kung kailangan pang bumili ng plate cover para lang hindi magfade. What do you guys think? :D

I bought one for mine. Precaution na rin to avoid the fading problem.

i got a deflector plate cover. but prior to that, i even sprayed 3 layers of clear coat over the plate (w/o the sticker of course).

i got a W** plate and an X** plate without any signs of fading. the W** is 9 years old and the X** is 4 years old.

I had one with an N on my old school car still looks good w/o Plate cover deflector.

eto masasabi ko. most X series plates, even R series plates, lalo na pag registered between 2003 and 2004 o first release ng rizal plates, madali mag-fade. why? kasi sticker lang siya. eto sample, plate number ng hi-ace namin na jdm. 2004 ang date of registration niya dito sa atin. please take a look

*spyghost: Sir ano yung clearcoat? Hindi ko pa kasi nalalagyan ng LTO sticker yung plate so I guess pwede pa lagyan nun. Magkano po ba yun and where can I buy one?

*testament: Grabe sir bat naging ganyan yung plate? Normal wear and tear lang yan?

aerosol clear coats... such as pylox, bosny, rj london... etc... those both at any hardware stores... basta clear.

my wife's car is among the first releases of rizal plates in 2004. so far, hindi naman sya nag-fafade.

first release ng rizal plate nakalagay sa baba niya PILIPINAS. sabi ng LTO dati sa new plates ganyan na daw ndi na babaguhin yung nakalagay sa baba. tapos all of sudden dahil kay gloria pinalitan yung Pilipinas ng MATATAG NA REPUBLIKA. doon ata nagsimula yung hindi magandang quality ng rizal plates. same goes w/ the license card yung nagfafade yung picture.

kung ayaw mong maglagay ng plate cover ok yung idea ng clear coat.

I have a 1990 wagon and the plates were already faded. I had them repainted to body color. (Those era plates were green on white in front and white on green at the back. So they're now blue on white in front and white on blue on the rear). Nice.

Private vehicle plates should be colored green. Blue is for diplomatic plates.

Bili ka na lang ng plate cover to protect the paint. Yung dating oto ko nagfade ang plaka, twas 2005, after isa't kalahating taon nagfade na siya.

ako hindi ko sinasabon yung plate no. ko,yung rear plate lang ang may plate cover madame kasing mahilig manita sa makati.punas punas lang ng MF pag naglilinis ako auto
