Claying I believe will not only remove contaminants but also strip/remove most if not all sealants/waxes on your carpaint. So wala "protection" yung surface ng clearcoat/paint mo. I make sure na after ko mag clay either compund, polish, protect yung paint or clay/protect yung paint.

KAIO I believe has cleaners, di ko lang alam kung pwede mo siya isubstitute sa claying, yun nga lng malamang matatanggal yung M step 3 mo ni KAIO o nung repeat claying mo, sayang lng. The best route i believe with your products is clay, M step 2, KAIO, KSG, then LSP mo si M step 3

Mothers step 2 and ksg are redundant. Forego m step2.

Mother's step 2 is a polishing/glazing product and KSG I believe is a sealant. Step 2 will give your paint minimal to no protection. Di sya magcocompound so kung may mga swirl marks/defects kitang kita yan. Step 2 can hide those swirl marks but might not correct it. KSG and step 3 ang sigurong redundant but I like the shine that carnauba waxes give compared to sealants, but most sealants are more durable compared sa waxes. Pwede rin siguro after KAIO diretso na sya sa step 3 kaso sayang naman KSG niya.

Is it better to have a new car to be paint protected (like BB's new car paint protection) or wash and wax/seal regularly will suffice?

And if I go for paint protection, how long should it take before wax/seal can be applied?

    Thanks..

Ayy oo nga sir, I stand corrected. Thanks. Step 2 is for paint correction. Mistaken it for a sealant. :P Agree with you on the KSG but another layer of wax won't hurt.

Wash and wax/seal will not remove all the contaminants in your new car ( I do believe na kahit bago pa yang car, I assume na naexpose na sya sa environment unless nakuha ko sya fresh from the factory ) so technically you will layer your sealant or wax on top of contaminants/pollution etc. That will compromise the looks and durability nung wax/sealant mo.

Ang ginagawa ng paint protection is to remove as much as possible all these contaminants so that immaculate yung clearcoat/paint surface mo, so that pagapply nung sealant/wax maprepreserve yung looks nung immaculate paint mo plus dadagdag pa niya yung depth/shine nung sealant/wax. Correct me if I am wrong pero pag may involved na correction ( swirl marks/defects removal) eh detailing na tawag?

Kaya nga yung iba therapeutic sa kanila pag dedetail ng sasakyan because they get some satisfaction/gratification on their work ;). Night and day panu difference pag maganda prep sa paint tapos papatungan mo ng sealant/wax ( IMHO except on a white paint unless sobrang napabayaaan) ;)

BB New Car Paint Protection (0-2 months old) = Premium Wash + Paint Claying + German Acrylic Paint Sealant

BB also has a year-round paint protection program named 'Optiguard' for new and old vehicles. It consists of 4 sessions which is 1 full exterior detailing session + 3 maintenance sessions.

Full exterior detailing = Premium Wash + Paint Claying + Paint Correction + German Acrylic Paint Pre-sealant + German Acrylic Paint Sealant.

i think this 'German Acrylic Paint Pre-sealant' refers to Klasse AIO while 'German Acrylic Paint Sealant' refers to Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze. as we all know, both products are acrylic-based and manufactured in Germany. please correct me if i am wrong.

Is it better to have a new car to be paint protected (like BB's new car paint protection) or wash and wax/seal regularly will suffice?
As already mentioned above, a new car still needs to be clayed. If you are willing to DIY, then just follow the 3 steps of BB New Car Paint Protection.

And if I go for paint protection, how long should it take before wax/seal can be applied?
It depends on how much the paint gets abused or exposed to the sun and environment contaminants. Using quick detailers and spray waxes in between car washes can extend protection. You can do proper detailing session every 3 months similar to the Optiguard program.

    Hi all,

What product can you recommend for maintaining plastic grills and chrome/plated parts? and is there any way to prevent headlights from yellowing? Thanks.

use the same polishes/waxes/sealants for chrome plated parts

grills will benefit from anti-uv dressing. water spots is its main uglifier though.
    thoroughly wipe it dry every wash and blast it with air to dry tight gaps or;
find out how to disassemble the part. it will look new again anytime with a spraycan of non-gloss black paint.

the headlight clear cover can be protected by applying sealant/wax with anti-uv or painted with clearcoat; inside to guard against UV from halogen/HID bulbs, outside, against UV from the sun.
