Hi, I just had changed my rad cap and reservoir container and overhauled my radiator at Jemson's Electrical and Jorge's Radiator Shop but my stock radiator and reservoir are still losing water. I am still refilling it a cup of water every three days. Should I change the radiator already or check first the other things like cylinders etc.

Have you also checked for leaks? Baka naman may mga leaks ka na hindi mo lang napapansin. Tsaka how old is your car already?

Overhauling your radiator and cleaning your reservoir will not cure your water loss problem, not unless you have a leaking radiator or reservoir in the first place. And neither will a new radiator help. For starters, check your hose connections, clamps tight enough? No visible dried water stains? If your car is equipped with a heater, check the hoses on them too.

Observe your water consumption vis-a-vis your driving habits, traffic situation, time of day, etc. Check you oil for any abnormality, milky colored sludge, etc. And also check your coolant for foaming, turbid color, etc.

Assuming there are no leaks, your system is apparently not properly sealed. Meaning anything that surges into your reservoir gets spat out and doesn't return into the cooling loop when pressure normalizes.

I checked the engine oil and it's still the same as usual. Nagbabawas pa rin ng tubig pero minimal lang. Maybe 1 cup of water a week. Will it be fine if I'll leave it like this? Refilling it with 1 cup of clean water from time to time without using coolant?

sir fill up the reservoir until full mark lang, wag hanggang tip. Issue ko to dati, i fill it in hanggang mag overflow and yet daily laging bawas sya til someone told me not to overfill it. naging stable sya sa full level since then.
