Depends kung pano i-check. Kung simple check up and test lang, usually free. Pero kung may baklasan na, hindi ko sure. Kasi kapag nagpachek ako dun at nakita yung sira, dinidiretso ko na ng pagawa.

Ang alam ko medyo mahina ang rear a/c ng Grace. Nasa ilalim kasi ng sasakyan yung evaporator. Ang layo ng biyahe bago makarating yung air sa taas. Kaya sa Starex, nasa loob na ng cabin ang rear evaporator. Nasa ceiling.

Anong brand compressor niya? Bago ba?

Bago yung compressor Doc. Sanden yata or Denso. Di ako sure eh. Si erpats nagpakabit. BTW, custom/aftermarket yung rear A/C. Dati ang lamig talaga nito Doc. Ewan ko lang kung ano nangyari. I have to ask my dad if I could bring it to Mang Mario since wala syang alternative car.

wala sinabi e. mas ok daw dun sa suki niya. sa abacus sa west ave. tabi ng mcdo.

nag leleak a/c ng rav ko, di ko alam kung ano problema e.

Mas mahal sa Abacus (it's run like a business talaga, lahat may price). But if you don't mind the cost difference, it's your choice.

Doc, magkano bayad kapag pa-check lang? May problema kse yung a/c ng Hyundai Grace namin eh. Halos walang lamig. In fact, kakapalit lang ng compressor. Malamig nung una tapos dahang-dahang nawawala. The new compressor is about two months old.

question, once ba na pina clean ang evaporator e may chance na umikli na lifespan nito? or depende pa rin talaga sa gagawa kung maayos?

after kong nailusong sa baha yung oto ko, umingay na yung compressor pag naka off yung A/C... pag naka-on na mejo nawawala...

i heard bearing lang daw yun....

kaya ba nila Mang Mario magrepair nito? mga magkano po kaya aabutin?

There are two schools of thought on this. The first school is that cleaning elongates the life of the evaporator since the debris and gunk that accumulates inside is removed. Sometimes the evaporator corrodes in the areas where the gunk/debris is because water can stagnate.

On the other hand, some say that tearing and rebuilding your a/c can be a source of error on the technicians part and you may break other things during the process.

Me, I just wait for the evaporator to get busted (usually in 3-5 years) then just get a new one.

Sometimes the water will evacuate on its own. If it does (and the noise goes away), no need for a/c work.
Yes, MM's shop does bearing work. Labor is around Php600+price of bearing. Sorry, hindi ako updated masyado.. Baka may ibang posts dito saying the prices they paid for.

OT: tanong ko lang po. Nagpagawa kasi and F-i-L ko sa isang airconshop sa Muntinlupa last month. pinalitan ang evaporator and other things. And dinig nya sa presyo ng expansion valve ay 120 pesos.. pero ng babayaran na nya, nakasulat sa resibo e 1,200/pc.. e dalawa yon... ganito ba talaga kamahal ang expansion valve?

Yup, depending on the type of car, mga 900 upwards price ng expansion valve. Sa Sentra ko, they quoted 1400 brand new

Wala kang makikitang 120petot na exp. valve, kahit surplus.

Halos lahat pala dito galit doon kay singkit. Medjo nakakainis nga yon.

As for the rest of the people there, okay lahat.

I really hated the job of Mang Mario to my car. I have been going back there for the last 7 months for the same problem. (compressor related)

The problems are simple pero di sila pulido gumawa sa akin. In the HISTORY of Mang Mar, ako siguro ang pinakamadalas doon due to backjobs.

1)The compressor was not aligned properly (aligned twice in a span of 5 months)
2) they installed a wrong sized fan belt (and broke my tensioner)
3) they put in too little freon
4) they did not clean the condenser properly (pulled out twice for this)
5) put in too much oil in the freon
6) the wire going to the compressor was burnt (pulled down the compressor for this)
7) burnt about 4 fuses in my car.
8) Aircon hoses they put in were either too short or too long which rubs certain parts of the engine that causes it to burn.
9) Broke my dual aircon and they never knew how to repair it. (brought it to another shop for electrical repairs)
10) the bracket they made for the compressor was not properly secured (2 backjobs for this)
11) the compressor clutch burnt.

ANYTHING that can go wrong with the aircon. For sure, I have experienced it thru mang mario.

Kabisado naman niya ang Denso. Diba yun ang may gawa ng a/c niyan? Sa Vitara at Pajero, Denso system din ang system.

first of all, id like to thank otep for introducing us this shop, napaka-honest nitong mga tao dito, ang bilis pa magtrabaho, di taga sumingil. im very satisfied with the work they've done to my 8 yr old liteace, ang dami ko nang gumawa sa aircon ko, pero ngyon lang nakatikim ng linis ang fan ng blower ko, imagine P900 for general cleaning including everything (i spent 7k more because i opted to replace my replacement front evap to an original one), i arrived around 3:30pm, and at 5pm, tapos na, although naka-chamba lang ako dahil tapos na yung ibang auto. guys, i highly recommend this shop for your aircon repair and maintenance needs, you'll be glad you did.
